Technical Development Bureau

At the Technical Development Bureau, we have established a coherent setup ranging from basic fundamental research, through application development, to engineering for actual machines, based on our philosophy concerning research and engineering.

Researchers and engineers in a wide range of fields work in a research environment with a functional layout, with the aim of making next-generation breakthroughs.

Introduction to our research laboratories

Steel Research Laboratories

The ideal shape and the functions of materials and members are pursued to the limit.

Advanced Technology Research Laboratories

Here we develop common basic technology that constitutes our entire operating base.

Environmental & Process Technology Center

Here we carry out development and application of new technology for the steelmaking process.
